What’s your diaper philosophy? Cloth? Disposable? Brand-name? Generic? Buy in bulk? All of the above?

We seem to belong to the “all of the above” category. With Little Brother, we did some cloth (and will do some again once #3 comes along). But, I’ve gone the only brand-name route, purchased only in bulk with coupons, and tried a fair share non-brand name. Most recently, we’ve tried the Up&Up diapers from Target.

Up&Up is an exclusive Target ® brand designed to provided consumers with high-quality, well-designed products at low prices. There are actually over 1,000 products to select from spanning 45 categories including health care, household care, personal care, beauty, and baby care–like the up&up diapers! Up&Up Diapers offer excellent leakage protection with thin, soft and cloth-like stretchable sides for a cozy fit. They also have stretchable grip sides, a soft and snug back panel and an ultra-absorbent core for strong day and night protection.

So far, we’ve gone through about two packages of and they’re my favorite non-brand name choice to date!! At just over 2, yes, Little Brother is still in diapers. After our potty training woes with Big Brother, I decided I wasn’t even going to bother with Little Brother until after Baby #3 comes. So, we have a very active 2 year-old little guy who can certainly put a diaper to the test. The up&up diapers have done great–no rashes, no leaks, no blowouts. And, at up to $20 less per package than some of the brand names (think “P” & “H”) we’re familiar with–I’m ALL about using them! They’re even little Jedi approved! 😉

  1. I discovered target diapers when my daughter was little. I LOVE them they are just as good as the name brand ones but cost a lot less!! and ow that we have baby number 2, after the diapers i got from my baby shower are gone, I’m using targets. That extra money goes into our family fun fund, trips to the zoo or the science center.

  2. I WAS all about name brand disposable (you get what you pay for ya know) but this article may make me think twice. I’m willing to give them a shot.

  3. as a first time mom, it feels like there is so much trial and error. thankfully, there comes a point where you find what works. I love up&up diapers!

  4. I have had many and have stuck to none of them, lol! I usually buy Walmart or Aldis brand for less money. I have never tried Target, but would be willing to give it a shot!

  5. My diaper philosophy has been to find the best deal on the usual name brand diapers. I am excited to try the Up&Up diapers!

  6. i try all kinds of diapers on my little ones. all work well. trying to find one diaper that i really like and is cost effective. would love to try these.

  7. I’m hoping to switch to cloth diapers at some point but right now we use the Up & Up Target diapers and love them!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  8. I have a very simple rule when it comes to diapers: if it can handle the mess, it’s on my shopping list. My 10wk old goes to an average of 5 diapers a day (a month ago he would need 8 a day!!). I would love to use cloth diapers, but who am I kidding, that’s too much work for me. So disposables it is.

  9. I personally use Luvs, which are only a couple dollars more than generic, and work just as good as huggies and pampers.

  10. i use whatver is on sale but for free- i’d certainly love them and give them a try

  11. I am entering in hopes of winning to help out my brother and sister in law. They are first time parents. My niece Stella is 7 months and growing like a week. Because both of her parents work, they decided before she was born that they would be using disposable diapers.
I am not sure what brand they are currently using but I do know that they can use the help.

  12. I am a fan of all-in-one systems and inexpensive disposables that stand up to all that my little ones put them through. Posting the contest to facebook soon.

  13. We are also all of the above. I loooove cloth diapers when DS and now DD are little. I do not like traveling with cloth, so we use “P” diapers all the time and also buy in bulk at the big box stores. Target diapers are by far my favorite off-brand diapers. Not to mention their polka dots are super cute!! 🙂
