Maybe you could use a very light coating of non-stick spray (like Pam) on the sticks to help slide the candy on? Also, will the candy stay fresh, once it's in the bags, if I want to send them to my college daughter in the mail? Love this pretty craft idea! Especially for Valentines!

In reply to <a href="https://www.momendeavors.com/candy-kabobs/#comment-16195">Brittni</a>.

Hi Brittni,
Not sure. They definitely are a bit hard to slide down the skewer, especially depending on what type of candy it is, the temperature, the skewer, etc. But, typically the end up looking ok in the end!

Ok, I tried to make this last night and they did not work out well. The gummies did not slide very easily done the skewer, especially when i went to add more. Is there a trick to it or something I need to do differently?
