My daughter is eyeing pumpkins everywhere we go this week. We have already purchased a large pumpkin to carve for Halloween and a couple of small pumpkins to paint before our big night of trick or treating. Instead of purchasing more pumpkins to add to our growing collection we had some fun making a tissue paper and styrofoam cup pumpkin kids craft. The supplies for this project are very basic and you just might already have them at home.
Supplies:
- orange tissue paper cut into squares
- styrofoam cup
- white glue
- brown construction paper cut into thin strip
Glue pieces of tissue paper to the cup until the entire styrofoam surface is covered.
Then fold the piece of brown construction paper like an accordion and glue to the top of the pumpkin craft.
Display your craft next to the pumpkins in your home for a fun Halloween decoration.
I’m sure we will be making more pumpkins before we get to the end of October!
Have you already brought home a pumpkin to carve for Halloween too?
