Who loves the summer? We DO! For many of us, the summer means family fun and adventures! There are things like going to the pool, the lake, or the beach; traveling on fun road trips or plane flights to fun destinations; eating messy backyard BBQ foods; enjoying cold treats like popsicles and ice cream; exploring in nature – hiking, playing outside, building sandcastles, etc. When you are doing ANY of these fun activities with kids, it’s a good idea to be prepared. As a mom of all boys, I know how important it is to be ready for anything! So, there are 5 items that I think of as our family travel/adventure must-haves…

Now obviously, this is NOT a comprehensive list for everything you might need when you’re out with kids! The specifics will depend on where you’re heading, the ages of your kids, etc. But, I like to keep those 5 basic things with us just about ALL the time, whether we’re doing something fun locally or heading on an international travel adventure! They are my 5 “we can’t leave home without them” items! In fact, you can see in that first photo above that I actually like to keep water (we live in the desert of Arizona after all) and a canister of Wet Ones® Hand Wipes in the car. This is actually true of us year round! But, they become even more handy on family road trips during the summer! You never know when some sort of car sickness, potty accident, or emergency food spill might happen when you’re on the road with kids. Plus, road side bathroom stops aren’t always the most reliable in terms of working sinks with soap. So, I love having the Wet Ones® in the car for cleaning germs off hands!
Then in addition to the healthy snacks, water, first aid supplies, and a change of clothes, I make sure to have Wet Ones® Hand Wipes travel pack in our bags when we’re jetting off on plane flights. Having the travel packs for flights is SO convenient! I can use it to wipe their hands off before and/or after eating snacks! I like to try to have healthy snacks on hand too (nuts, dried fruit, string cheese, etc), because we all know that sometimes vacation food isn’t the best for us. I mean…just look at these meals below. 
SOooooooo good! And SOOOO messy! So, having hand wipes are really important for cleaning off those messy hands covered with macaroni & cheese, ice cream, chocolate, ketchup, or any other number of food remnants. PLUS, if you’ve been playing in the dirt outside or in the sand at the beach – or if you’ve been touching everything at the zoo or at an amusement park, it’s a good idea to also wipe off the hands BEFORE eating as well. And sometimes finding a bathroom to wash hands at isn’t a good, quick option! 
With 3 boys ages 4-10, I truly never know when they are going to be thirsty or starving or a mess might happen or an injury might occur! Lately, it feels like I’m dealing with ALL of those things on a daily basis! Lol! I’ve got to be ready for anything! Plus, I’m always concerned about germs. So, I find that having those 5 basics items with me for all of our summer adventures really makes travel with them easier!
