This cold & flu season must-haves printable checklist post is sponsored by Family Dollar. One of my least favorite things about the winter season is that it also happens to be cold & flu season. Since there have been lots of germs flying around here locally, I thought it was a good idea to make sure we’re prepped in case one of these bugs strike! So, we headed to Family Dollar to stock up on all the cold & flu must-haves shown above. Money-Saving Tip: When you’re shopping at Family Dollar, make sure you check out the Weekly Deals and then use their Smart Coupons to save even more. Let’s face it, no one wants to have to go shopping when you’re already feeling terrible from a bad cold or the flu! As a mom, being sick is really no fun. But having to go shopping when you’re sick is just the pits. Plus, no one in the store wants your germs! So, to help make it easier for you to plan in advance, we have a handy printable cold & flu must-haves checklist for you! The checklist is great for helping you stay organized, keeping track of what you have at home already and what you need to buy!

Print the checklist and then you can use it to take inventory of what you already have in the house (in your medicine cabinets, cleaning closet/cupboard, pantry, etc). It’s always good to be prepared with certain food items like canned soups, water, electrolyte drinks, etc. and various household items like hand soap, facial tissues, cleaning wipes, and more. When taking inventory of items in the medicine cabinet, it’s important to look at expiration dates of what you already have as well. For any questions about over-the-counter “medicine cabinet” items good for cold & flu season, be sure to consult your doctor! We’ve left a few blank spaces on the checklist for you to add in any additional items that you need to list for your shopping trip! Then, take your checklist with you to the store to help you remember what items to pick up. Remember, be sure to check out the Weekly Deals and then use Family Dollar’s Smart Coupons to save on your cold & flu season necessities!

Here’s to being prepared & staying healthy! What are YOUR must-have cold & flu season items? Anything we should add to the list? Tell us in the comments below!

  1. Thank you so much for this printable. I am going to make sort of an emergency go to box and I wanted to add medications because no one wants to go out when they are sick. So I know what I am looking for now. Do you have other suggestions? I am adding you to my Pinterest board.

    1. Hi Mary,
Glad this checklist was helpful! I feel like medications are a little harder (since every household is different that way). But certainly, you might just think about what kinds of things you normally use if you get a cold or the flu…or even a stomach bug and then make sure you have some of those medications on hand as well! Thanks for pinning! 🙂
