Start the school year off by having your kids do this fun back to school interview! Back to School Free Printable InterviewBack to School time is in full swing around here! And one idea that I LOVE is to do a fun back to school interview with the kids! It’s a great way to document the developmental stages they’re at, in addition to their cute handwriting! I’m a firm believer in memory keeping, so I love having keepsakes like this. Plus, I love that it’s an activity that gets them writing. And as a former teacher, I know the importance of handwriting! So, I’m thrilled to partner with sponsor BIC on this #BICFightForYourWrite campaign! BIC School Supplies

Don’t all those BIC products look fun?! Anyone else have a “thing” for school supplies? I do! All these brand-new, colorful pens and pencils make me want to do a fun project and get writing! I happen to love the BIC ® Cristal ® Xtra Precision Ball Pens! The fun colors and vibrant two-toned caps are great! But the boys went right for the BIC ® XTRA-Fun #2 Pencils with Stripes!! Little Brother asked immediately if he could take them to school! 🙂 So needless to say, those are the pencils they chose to use right away!

#BicFightForYourWriteOnce we went through all the fun supplies, I gave them the interview sheet. And they were ready to go with their new pencils!  Then they sat down to answer the questions. Some of the questions are very straightforward and some are open-ended. Having them do activities like this is SO great, as research shows that handwriting promotes critical thinking, reading comprehension, fine motor skills development, creativity and even self-confidence. Back to School InterviewsSo, take a moment to ask your kids to answer some questions, in writing, to help get them inspired and excited for this school year! It didn’t take the kids too long at all and the answers are of course SO fun to read! I was thrilled to find out that Big Brother is excited to learn about Arizona’s history as part of his 4th grade curriculum! Very cool! First day writing promptsAnd then of course there is the answer of “have no homework” to the “what would you do if you were principal for a day” question! Hahaha! That question though is a good one to ask, because it could actually win you a scholarship…

BIC wants to know what your child(ren) would do if they were principal for a day!
