“Where there is kindess, there is goodness. And where there is goodness, there is magic.”
Kindness – it’s something we’ve really been focusing on in our house. When tasked with raising three boys, “kindness” maybe isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. But, it’s one of the most important things I want to teach them. To treat others the way they want to be treated, to BE the good and to SEE the good in others.
After seeing Disney’s Live-Action Cinderella this year, that message echoed so clearly and was so impactful that I made a kindness printable that still is displayed in our house. (To Dowload the printable, click here —> Have Courage Be Kind Free Printable).
Have Courage. Be Kind.
The words are SO simple, but couldn’t be more true. I want this for my boys. So, we work on being kind here at home. We talk about what kindness is and what empathy is. We talk about how to be kind at school. And as parents, we try to model what kindness looks like. It’s a continual work in progress as it’s something we know is so important…and truly powerful. 
Be An Ambassador of Kindness
In celebration of the Cinderella DVD release (<–affiliate link. click to purchase) on September 15th, Disney has launched the “A Million Words of Kindness” campaign and I think it’s a beautiful thing. After all, who couldn’t use a little more kindness?!
I truly love this idea. Our words are important and kindness matters! During my time at the D23 Expo, I was treated to a beautiful dinner at the Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney’s California Adventure park where I was “dubbed” an ambassador of kindness and I want you to JOIN ME!
