Disney Movie Soundtracks are some of my very favorites. As a kid, I vividly remember listening to my The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast cassettes over and over and over. My friends and I knew every word. I even auditioned for some of my high school musicals with Disney songs, like “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from The Little Mermaid for my Fiddler on the Roof audition – which landed me the role of Yente! 😉 With my own kids now, I have sung “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from Cinderella as a lullaby to them since they were newborns. We also sing Winnie the Pooh together at bedtime. Needless to say, Disney music is near and dear to my heart. So, I’m super excited about Walt Disney Records releasing The Legacy Collection.
The Legacy Collection features original soundtracks from Disney movies and Disney Parks that are celebrating milestone anniversaries this year! We got to see a whole set-up of the entire collection at the #D23Expo! Here’s what’s included: The Lion King, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, Fantasia, Pinocchio, Toy Story, Fantasia ,Lady & the Tramp, The Aristocats, Sleeping Beauty, Pocahontas, and Disneyland! And, not only is the music obviously fantastic, but the artwork is BEAUTIFUL! This is a GREAT add to your Disney collection!
