DIY Skylanders Easter Basket

Do you have kiddos that love Skylanders? If so, I bet they’d love a whole Skylanders Easter basket!! And thanks a great sponsored campaign with MomTrends and Skylanders, I have a super easy & fun basket to show you today! How would your little Skylanders fan(s) like getting that fun basket of goodies?! So fun! To really make it really fully themed, I decided to make an actual Skylanders basket. And it was so easy to make – just some Skylanders fabric and Mod Podge! I found the fabric at a local craft store (Jo-Ann) and bought 1 yard just in case (even though I used much less). I used an inexpensive plastic Easter bucket (think dollar store). You could also use a metal bucket! Then, just measure the height of the and cut the fabric accordingly. Use a thin coat of Mod Podge to adhere the fabric to the bucket and that’s it! Easy peasy! Once you have your Skylanders basket, then the fun part is filling it! And, in a Skylanders basket you HAVE to have some Skylanders toys!! The most recent addition to the franchise (in October 2014) is Skylanders Trap Team where players can take characters out of the game and place them into physical “Traps” that kids can take with them!! In Skylanders Trap Team, you can play as a Skylander or capture Skylands’ most wanted foes and unleash them for good. It’s up to Portal Masters to find these villains and capture them inside the new Traps that transport the villains into the real world via the Traptanium Portal. Once trapped, players can return the villain to Skylands as a playable character. This exciting new play pattern gives fans the option to switch between playing as a Skylander hero or a villain at any time, creating fun and unique “tag team” gameplay.

And perfect for Easter baskets are an eggsellent bunch of Skylanders Trap Team toys! There’s the Eggsellent Weeruptor (this year’s official mascot for the Annual Dragon Egg Hunt who disguised himself as a candy-coated egg), Power Punch Pet-Vac, and the Bunny Earth Trap.
