no-bake edible christmas treeHow about an easy, edible Christmas tree and snowballs for a festive dessert?! This would look so pretty on your Christmas party table as a centerpiece or just a fun themed Christmas treat!! I love making themed edible crafts and fun foods for holidays and parties. So, when Hostess challenged me to create a beautiful edible creation using some Hostess products as part of their sponsored #HostessHoliday campaign, I was all in! And, I love the way it turned out! Can you tell which classic Hostess products we used? Hostess TreatsI started with Ho Hos and Sno Balls! I picked up these little treats at Target! I LOVE the realistic look of Sno Balls, so I knew I wanted to include those! To make the tree, I decided to cut the Ho Hos (very delicately with very sharp knife) to get little chocolate cake swirl bites. By arranging the slices in rows, you can easily make a Christmas tree! For added depth and a more 3D look, I did two layers of the Ho Ho slices on the tree. Then, one cut Ho Ho was used for the tree trunk. And honestly, the tree looked really cute as is with all the swirls. But, since the boys wanted to decorate it, that’s what we did! Making Christmas Treats #HostessHolidayTo decorate our Ho Ho swirls tree, I used some green candy melts and piped that over the tree! Then, before the candy melts harden, decorate with any candies or embellishments you’d like. We chose silver dragees and red, green, & white sixlets candies. For the finishing touch, our edible tree needed an edible tree topper! So, we topped it off with a Twinkie star!! To make the star, I cut the rounded top off the Twinkie (so I had the base at just maybe a 1/4″ thick). Then, I used a small star cookie cutter that fit the width almost exactly! The perfect top for a Hostess holiday treat! Edible Christmas Tree and Snow BallsIsn’t it fun?! It looks SO pretty on the red platter and the Sno Balls added such a festive, wintery touch! Putting this together was SO easy, but creates a big impact on the table! Love it! Edible Christmas TreeNow, are you ready for more #HostessHoliday fun?! Don’t miss the awesome sweepstakes below!!!

  1. I think this is a very impressive desert for young girls to make and feel like they are contributing to the tradition of bringing a special dish to family Christmas dinners. Easy peasy and not so messy. Even more fun when two or more girls work on it together. Thanks for the ideas!
