Legoland California Planning Tips with Undercover Tourist

Legoland California Planning TipsDoes your family enjoy a fun day (or days) at a theme park? While we love all kinds of different family travel destinations, theme parks are great for hours of family fun! One of our favorite destinations is Southern California, since it’s just a relatively short 5-6 hour drive from our house. So, thanks to a sponsored partnership through Mom it Forward & Undercover Tourist, we were thrilled to head over to the San Diego area and visit Legoland California for the first time! Here are some planning tips that helped us have a successful trip: Legoland California Undercover Tourist TicketsThe first key to planning a successful theme park trip is getting your tickets. I like to get tickets ahead of time (to avoid waiting in line at the park) and find discounted tickets when possible. With Undercover Tourist, you’ll save time and money on your tickets. You’ll skip the ticket lines and head straight onto the rides! Undercover Tourist just expanded (from Florida) to many of the Southern California theme parks and I’m SO glad they did! When we got our tickets, the Undercover Tourist prices were $15 less per ticket compared to gate prices! For a family of 4 or 5 like us, that quickly adds up to some serious savings. The whole process of ordering, printing, and using the tickets was SO easy! We just walked right up, presented our e-Tickets (printed out at home), and headed into the the park for a day of fun! legoland california park planningOnce you have your tickets, it’s a good idea to familiarize with the park and what options are available for your family. You can of course check out park maps like my little guys are there, but Undercover Tourist will soon have Touring Plans up for Legoland California. The Touring Plans give a great overview to the park, as well as information on the suggested must-do attractions! It’s no surprise that our Star Wars-loving boys LOVED that section in the park! So, Star Wars Miniland is a definite must-see on our Legoland list. Star Wars Miniland LegolandAnd, for a must-try food, we LOVED the Granny’s Apple Fries. They were SO good and a classic Legoland treat! Be sure to plan it into your day (and find it on the map so you can decide when you’ll be in that vicinity in the park). Granny's Apple Fries LegolandAnother thing to consider when planning for a Legoland California trip is if you’d like to hit any of the other parks. On our trip we noticed that the Legoland Water Park was a very popular hot, summer day attraction for many visitors at the Legoland Resort. There are many water rides at the park, but the Water Park requires separate admission (and is closed for various portions of the year. So be sure to look at that on Undercover Tourist when planning your trip). Legoland Water ParkYou’ll also find the Sealife Aquarium at the Legoland California resort (also requiring a separate admission, but open year round). Inside a cooler building, filled with all kinds of great aquatic features, it’s a great place to cool off during a hot afternoon at the theme park. Sealife Aquarium CaliforniaIf you decide to make those attractions part of your trip, you can purchase a great deal on a Legoland California park hopper pass through Undercover Tourist as well. Right now, you even get the 2nd day free! So, that’s a great deal for families looking for a couple of days of theme park fun! Legoland California TripAll in all, it was a fun family day at Legoland – made even easier thanks to Undercover Tourist.
