PaddlePak Review & Giveaway: Water-resistant Backpack for Kids!

Planning time at the pool, lake, or beach? Have kids who love animals? Planning a trip where your little explorer needs/wants their own backpack? Then, this PaddlePak post is for you!!! PaddlePak Backpack for KidsSeriously, how cute are these backpacks that Trunki sent us for review?! Here’s the scoop on these adorable & functional bags:

PaddlePak is a water-resistant backpack for children ages 2+. It prevents damp items from leaking through after trips to the pool or beach, or keeps contents inside dry throughout any trip. Made from lightweight and durable material, PaddlePak’s roll top seal uses the same innovative technology as adult outdoor bags. It features a patent pending break-away safety buckle, reflective trim, the Trunki gripT to keep sunglasses or goggles close at hand, and a adorable tail fin that doubles as a functional pocket for small valuables.

PaddlePak by TrunkiCurrently (as of June 2014), there are 9 different adorable aquatic characters to choose from! If your kids love ocean animals, they will love any of these – Bob (blue), Flo (pink), Chuckles the clown fish (orange), Inky the Octopus (purple), Pinch the Lobster (red), Ribbit the Frog (green), Spike the Blow Fish (yellow), Finn the Shark (grey), and Kaito the Whale (black). I happen to think all of them are SO fun! The boys got the shark, blow fish, and the lobster. And, we love them all! But, Spike has really stolen the show around here. The shark and whale are great for bigger kids – the backpack itself is larger and there is a mesh side pouch, perfect for easy storage. Important to note though – the shark & whale do not have eyes like the smaller packs do. Big Brother noticed right away and wanted to know why his pack didn’t have eyes.

For a recent trip, we packed the PaddlePaks for the boys to take on the plane. It was AWESOME! You can see the difference in sizes & styles on the boys in the picture below. The bags are so lightweight that the older two carried their bags all by themselves. They carried a few toys, their blankets, and some coloring activities.  Because of the easy roll top seal, they were able to get into their bags all by themselves. Super handy! PaddlePak Travel Backpack for KidsDon’t the PaddlePak characters look SO cute on them?! We actually were asked by 3 different families at the airport about the bags – what they were and where they could buy some. Those parents all had young kids in tow and were immediately drawn to the cute & functional bags! And, they were all excited to hear about the water-resistance! That makes the PaddlePak SO perfect for traveling & summer activities. You can tote it along to swimming lessons, pool parties, the beach, the lake, etc. without having to worry about everything getting soaked! Love that!
We’ve already taken ours over to Grammy & Grampy’s pool. But, next up, we’re trying them at the beach so we can really test the water-resistance! Between beach toys, wet towels or shoes, goggles, etc., I think we’ll be able to give it a good test. And I think they will be SOOO cute on the beach! Trunki PaddlePakSo, how would your kids like to sport a PaddlePak on their adventures?! It’s giveaway time!
