It’s week 6 of our College Football Tailgate Party here on Mom Endeavors. For weeks 5 & 6, we teamed up with the National Pork Board and Kroger on their fun #tailgatingwithpork campaign! I shared a great tailgating recipe last week for super tasty beer soaked & smoked baby back ribs! And, we served up those yummy ribs as part of a little at-home tailgate party! While we’d love to do some real tailgating, that’s tough with our Huskers being about 1300 miles from Phoenix. Tailgating in Lincoln, Nebraska looks like this:

Nebraska TailgatingFor now though, we have to settle for fun game-watching at home. Sometimes we go all-out and other times we do just fun & simple at-home football “tailgate” parties. That’s what we did this time. No too fancy, but still a great football party at home! Football Watch PartyI made a run to Fry’s (our local Kroger affiliate) to pick up our football party supplies – the ribs, soda, chips, veggies, cookies! All kinds of good stuff. If you live in the area of your favorite team, then you should be able to find lots of team stuff as well. My store had the nearby NFL teams and Arizona State College gear! If we lived in Nebraska, I have no doubt that I could find any Huskers gear I wanted! 😉 Kroger shopping #tailgatingwithporkWith the lack of Huskers items here in Arizona, I just went with some decor I already had here at home! Like our DIY football table cover (made for a smaller table) and football party canisters. Plus, I love any excuse to use my football party dishes (yes, I really do have football plates and bowls)! 😉 At-home football tailgating partyWe served up the baby back ribs, the best-ever potato salad, chips, veggies & ranch dip, and cookies. Simple, yet tasty! I thought about making some fun football cookies or football brownies, but we just didn’t have time. Plus, the chocolate chip cookies from the store looked great and went perfect on our referee plate! Lol! The ribs were definitely the star of this show! Baby Back ribs tailgateNow, how about a giveaway?! First up, The National Pork Board launched a “Repin-to-Win” Pinterest Sweepstakes that runs thru 10/13! 1. We like to tailgate by grilling hot dogs and burgers if it is a home game or by having a huge party if it is an away game.

  2. We love to grill! Really anything goes. I have memories when I was younger of grilling at the CWS in Omaha. I haven’t done it at any Husker games…but I would love to! Go huskers

  3. We grill wings, corn on the cob, big pot of barracho beans, and beer of course. Wouldn’t be a tailgate party otherwise.

  4. We love tailgating before college football games! We load up on sweets, dips and some delicious brown sugar smoked chicken!

  5. With the trucks and assorted vehicles parked in a circle, chairs creating another inner circle and the BBQ set up off to the side wind blowing away the smoke (perfect world). We do up lots of ribs, hot dogs, and corn on the cob. For dessert, if anyone is up to it, we do a slightly skewed (skewered) version of s’mores. Muisc going on one radio, the game on a couple others.

  6. I like to barbecue hot dogs, hamburgers and then have some flank steaks or london broil marinating overnight along with some salads and some great desserts too!

  7. I like to ‘tailgate’ at home with family and friends before the game. We grill, listen to music and eat until we are ready to pop.
