We’ve had an Ergobaby carrier since for a few years–ever since Little Brother was about 15 months old. We were traveling to a family reunion in Colorado and were going to be doing some hiking. I didn’t even want to attempt traveling with a our big hiking backpack, but we needed something. So, after some research, I purchased an original Ergo carrier and LOVED it! It was perfect for our hiking! ergobaby carrier originalWe’ve used it many times since then. It’s been a lifesaver with Baby Brother many times. We even keep an Ergobaby Stowaway travel carrier in the car at all times! 🙂 And, we’ve recently used that one for a few local hikes!Ergobaby stowawayI’ve tried out many different carriers. Certainly not all. But, we do own 7 (I know). I like some for different reasons, different ages, and different purposes. But, of the ones we own, Ergobaby is my overall favorite for ease of use and comfort (especially once the babies are over about 4 months or so). I’ve carried little ones in these carriers for hours without being in terrible pain! That’s a win!

Speaking of win, how would you like to WIN one of these awesome carriers! Right now (through Tuesday, April 16th), you have the chance to win an Ergobaby Stowaway carrier on Disney Mentor Moms! And, here (through Thursday, April 18th), you have the chance to win a Designer Ergobaby Carrier in Umba print!  Designer Ergobaby Carrier

The Umba print carrier was designed by Ergobaby Guest Designer Christy Turlington Burns. Here’s some additional info: Created to benefit Every Mother Counts, Christy’s non-profit dedicated to maternal health worldwide, this bold pattern originates from a small businesswoman and mother in Togo using wooden blocks to create the perfectly “imperfect” blue and brown print. As with all Ergobaby Carriers, it holds your baby in an ergonomic, natural sitting position. The padded waistbelt ensures baby’s weight is evenly distributed between your hips and shoulders while the adjustable, cushy padded shoulder straps provide you with ultimate comfort.

  1. We have an Ergo and have loved taking our little one on walks, to the zoo, and out and about. I’d love to get one for a dear friend who is expecting her first, since we’ve loved ours so much.

  2. We live near a lovely downtown and I’d love to carry my little one on our walks there. So much easier to go in and out of buildings without a stroller!

  3. We go fishing and camping whenever we can. Ellie gets tired after walking so much. So, it would be great for that.

  4. We are getting a family pass to the zoo this year and it would be so much easier just to carry our little guy than try to maneuver a stroller 🙂

  5. Everywhere! I would really like to start doing some hiking and camping trips this summer though! I think this would help with my all-too-curious toddler a lot!
