We had the pleasure of attending a performance of Disney on Ice’s Treasure Trove last night! And, it was fabulous!! It really is the “ultimate Disney animation celebration”! After experiencing Disney on Ice for the first time a few months ago, the boys were so excited to be going again. Watching their reactions during the show is so fun! Watching Disney on IceThere were SO many awesome characters and films highlighted!! After some fun Incredibles warm-ups & an intro, it started off with Alice in Wonderland. We loved the cards! This time, I brought my nice camera & had fun trying to get good shots! 😉 ALice in Wonderland_TreasureTroveNext up was Peter Pan! After the boys’ Jake and the Never Land Pirates party this past weekend, the boys loved this part!! There was even a whole “Yo Ho,  Yo Ho, A pirate’s life for me” segment! Great fun!  Peter Pan Treaure TroveThat basically was whole first half and then there was about a 15 minute intermission or so.  Then, the second half was amazing! SO many great movies highlighted! First, there was The Lion King. I was amazed at how well they did this on ice! The stampede was very well done, as was the Circle of Life with all the animals! lion King Treasure TroveIf you’re doing a show featuring the best of Disney animation, then certainly a shout-out to the first animated film is appropriate. So, Snow White was next up. Truth be told, I am not a big Snow White fan. But, I really liked it on the ice! I don’t know if it was how her dress stood out or what exactly, but I thought she was breathtaking! SnowWhite_ Treasure Trove

We also enjoyed scenes from Aladdin…Treasure Trove _ Aladdin

Then all the Disney Princesses came out in one star-studded grand finale! Treasure Trove PrincessesAnd of course, Mickey & Minnie (along with Donald & Goofy) were in the mix too! Mickey & Minnie on IceIf you can’t already tell from these pictures, the show was fabulous. We enjoyed Dare to Dream, but Treasure Trove was even better!!! I LOVE that it highlights so many of the Disney greats! The kids loved it too. Just note that it is long and does make for a bit of a late night. The show started at 7:00 and we were walking to the car at 9:00. So, it’s definitely very close to 2 full hours (with the intermission). For my kiddos that normally are in bed by 8:00, they were tired. So, my advice is to bring some jammies in the car and change before you head home! 😉
