Apple Snickers Salad

Mmmm! Have you ever had an Apple Snick­ers Salad? The term salad here is used loosely–as in, just some ingre­di­ents mixed together in a bowl. Really, this is a dessert salad. But, it seems like a bit health­ier dessert nonethe­less. In my recent quest toward a health­ier lifestyle, we’ve been try­ing to make WAY bet­ter food choices. But, some­times you still need to have a bit of dessert! For our lit­tle Super Bowl party a few weeks ago, we decided to go with all health­ier options. We wanted a sweet treat, but we’ve really cut back on gluteny, floury carbs. So, I didn’t want to do foot­ball brown­ies, foot­ball oreo pops, or any of the other more usual sug­ary options. This apple salad was a great way to go! It hit the sweet tooth spot with­out quite so many calories!

To make the Apple Snick­ers Salad, you just need 3 ingre­di­ents! Apples, snick­ers, and whipped top­ping! Com­bine 3 chopped apples (I used Granny Smith for a lit­tle more tart fla­vor, but you really could use any apple you like), 3 chopped Snick­ers bars, and 1 tub of whipped top­ping (I used fat free to lower the calo­ries even more)! That’s it! It’s super easy and tastes deli­cious. After mix­ing, just pop it in the fridge so every­thing is nice and cold! Every­one loves it! Just note that this recipe doesn’t keep well for long. It was ok the day after, but add another day and the left­overs aren’t so good. So, you’ll want to eat it as quickly as you can!
