So, I’ve posted quite a few things recently about making healthier choices. Between the start to a new year & the 5k coming up at the end of this month, it’s definitely been on my mind. So, I was thrilled with an opportunity to try Full Core! If you haven’t heard of full core before, it’s a natural appetite control drink. Honestly, I’m always leery of diet drinks/suppressors or what have you. But, this seemed different, probably because it contains 15 vitamins & minerals. Plus, it contains 40% (10g) of your daily fiber needs. So, that’s a bonus for your digestive health as well. In addition, full core is fat free, sugar free, sodium free, caffeine free, and gluten free. Stevia is used as a natural sweetener.
So, with that knowledge, I decided to give it a shot. Ordering was really simple. The online store is easy to navigate and the shipping time was good. You can see my whole shopping experience in this Google+ album.
After just a few days, a full core box arrived at my door. And, can I just say how much I’m seriously loving shopping online?! Having items just arrive at my door is so nice!Now, the important questions…how does it taste? Does it work? Short answers: Good and yes!
If you know me in real life, then you probably know that I really don’t like the taste of many flavored drinks. However, sadly, I don’t dislike the taste of soda. In fact, I like soda a little too much. Even with drink diet or low-calorie varieties, I know they aren’t good for me and can actually hinder weight loss. So, I was excited to see if full core might be a good soda replacement for me. And, I’m happy to say that it was. The lemon-lime flavor of the full core (the only flavor option by the way) was good. Not nearly as sweet as most lemon-lime sodas, but no weird after tastes or anything. Plus, it was still lightly carbonated so it still really seemed like I was drinking soda. Much unlike soda though, the full core drink did indeed make me feel full. In fact, it took me a while to drink it because it really did suppress my appetite! With hungry little boys who are constantly asking me for food, it is WAY too easy for me to fall into the mindless snacking trap. And, let’s face it, many times when the kids are hungry, I am too. I just shouldn’t be eating! So, having the full core drink available to actual help control hunger and stop snacking is a great thing! The added bonus is all the vitamins, minerals, fiber…and just 25 calories! That’s MUCH better for my waistline than mindlessly grabbing some goldfish crackers with the kids!
