Good Eating Habits with Hungry Girl Recipes & Tyson’s 30 Days, 30 Ways, 30 Rewards Program

Once you sign-up, there is a new recipe, tip and prize will be revealed each day to pro­vide par­tic­i­pants with fresh ideas and inspi­ra­tion! Prizes are super fun, but hon­estly, I’m most excited about the quick-to-prepare, guilt-free recipes! :) I love find­ing new, healthy meal ideas. And, it’s great when those recipes are fairly quick to pre­pare. Prod­ucts like Tyson® Grilled & Ready® chicken and beef help make healthy eat­ing so con­ve­nient! The line includes Chicken Breast Strips, Chicken Breast Fil­lets, Fajita Chicken Breast Strips, Honey BBQ Sea­soned Chicken Breast Strips, Chicken Breast Chunks, Oven Roasted Diced Chicken Breast, South­west­ern Chicken Breast Strips and Sea­soned Steak Strips. Yum! So, here are 3 del­ish Hun­gry Girl recipes using the Tyson® Grilled & Ready® chicken:

1) Too-Good Chicken Torta

Recipe cour­tesy of Hun­gry Girl and it’s espe­cially great for the “Food Lover”: Those that know the impor­tance of eat­ing right and exer­cis­ing, but love to eat and cook and never want their food to be bor­ing!  This meal offers con­ve­nience and good qual­ity ingre­di­ents so it’s now eas­ier than ever to whip up an enjoy­able meal. Serv­ing Size: 1

Too-GoodChickenTorta

Ingre­di­ents:

  • 3 ounces Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Fully Cooked Refrig­er­ated Grilled Chicken Breast Strips
  • One 100-calorie flat sand­wich bun
  • 1/2 ounce (about 1 table­spoon) mashed avocado
  • 1/2 tea­spoon taco sea­son­ing mix
  • 1 table­spoon diced tomato
  • 1/2 table­spoon diced onion
  • 2 table­spoons fat-free refried beans
  • 1 table­spoon shred­ded reduced-fat Mexican-blend cheese
  • 1 large tomato slice
  • 1/3 cup shred­ded lettuce

Direc­tions:

  1. Split bun into halves, and lightly toast.
  2. In a small bowl, mix avo­cado with 1/4 tea­spoon taco sea­son­ing. Stir in diced tomato and onion.
  3. In another small bowl, mix beans with remain­ing 1/4 tea­spoon taco seasoning.
  4. On a microwave-safe plate, spread sea­soned beans onto the bot­tom half of the bun. Evenly top with Grilled & Ready® Chicken Breast Strips. Sprin­kle with cheese.
  5. Microwave for 45 sec­onds, or until cheese has melted and chicken is hot.
  6. Top with tomato and let­tuce. Spread the top half of the bun with the avo­cado mix­ture, and place it on top of the sand­wich. Enjoy!

2) Pizza-fied Chicken Pizza-fied Chicken

Recipe cour­tesy of Hun­gry Girl and it’s espe­cially great for the “Willpower Chal­lenged”: Those that  start out strong, but their follow-through fades and they can eas­ily slide back into their old habits.  This tasty dish will keep them encour­aged while they develop new healthy eat­ing habits.  Serv­ing Size: 1

Ingre­di­ents:

  • 1 Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Fully Cooked Frozen Chicken Breast Fillet
  • 1 stick light string cheese
  • 1/4 cup canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 tea­spoon gar­lic powder
  • 1/4 tea­spoon onion powder
  • Dash each salt and black pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 table­spoons diced onion
  • 4 slices turkey pep­per­oni, chopped
  • 1 tea­spoon reduced-fat Parmesan-style grated topping

Direc­tions:

  1. Place Grilled & Ready® Frozen Chicken Breast Fil­let on a microwave-safe plate. Cover and microwave for 2–1/2 minutes.
  2. Tear string cheese into pieces, and roughly chop.
  3. Place crushed toma­toes in a small bowl, and sea­son with gar­lic pow­der, onion pow­der, salt and black pepper.
  4. Bring a skil­let sprayed with non­stick spray to medium heat. Cook bell pep­per, mush­rooms, and onion until soft­ened, 4–6 minutes.
  5. Remove veg­gies. If needed, clean skil­let. Remove from heat, respray, and return to medium heat.
  6. Place chicken in the skil­let. Evenly top with sea­soned toma­toes, fol­lowed by cheese, veg­gies and pepperoni.
  7. Cover and cook until cheese has melted and entire dish is hot, about 1 minute.
  8. Sprin­kle with Parm-style top­ping, and enjoy!

3) Greek Chicken Tacos Greek Chicken Tacos

Recipe cour­tesy of Hun­gry Girl and it’s espe­cially great for the “Time Crunched”: Those that  know how to eat right and how impor­tant it is to work out, but never seem to have enough time in their day.  This recipe is a great way to sim­plify a meal, while keep­ing it nutri­tious, deli­cious and low-calorie.  Serv­ing Size: 1

Ingre­di­ents:

  • 3 ounces Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Fully Cooked Refrig­er­ated Grilled Chicken Breast Strips
  • 1/4 cup shred­ded romaine lettuce
  • 2 table­spoons finely chopped red onion
  • 2 table­spoons drained and chopped roasted red pep­pers (packed in water)
  • 1 table­spoon roughly chopped, pit­ted kala­mata olives
  • 1 table­spoon light vinaigrette
  • 2 corn taco shells (flat-bottomed, if available)
  • 2 dashes dried oregano
  • 2 table­spoons crum­bled, fat-free feta cheese

Direc­tions:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix let­tuce, onion, red pep­pers, olives and vinaigrette.
  2. Divide Grilled & Ready® Grilled Chicken Breast Strips between taco shells, and sprin­kle with oregano. Top with let­tuce mix­ture, fol­lowed by feta cheese.
  3. Now chew!
