Arizona Science Center — Giant Mysterious Dinosaurs {Travel Tuesday Giveaway}

As a former science teacher, I’m a big fan of the Arizona Science Center!  We actually hadn’t taken the boys yet, but we had some BIG motivation to go recently! Giant Mysterious Dinosaurs!! It’s the Arizona Science Center’s newest exhibit which provides an up-close look at GIGANTIC dinosaur skeletons and fossils from around the globe—many rarely seen in this country! So, the boys got all dressed in their dinosaur best and we headed downtown to the science center. Giant Mysterious Dinosaurs spotlights the largest touring collection of dinosaur skeletons and robotics, up to 70 feet long and 24 feet tall! So, needless to say, the boys were super excited to check it out! When we walked in we were greeted by “the biggest bone in the world” — the vertebrae of an Argentinosaurus. It was HUGE! Just ONE of its vertebrae was about as tall as I am! Crazy. But then we rounded the corner and saw the biggest dinosaur we’ve ever seen. The mamenchisaurus! Check out the neck on that guy!!! It was CRAZY! Truly a site to behold! The longest-necked of all plant-eaters! Wowza! The boys loved exploring and seeing all the different skeletons! In true boy fashion, they were quite interested in the “sharp-tooth” guys (a reference from the Land Before Time)! The exhibit also had some fun, interactive areas. The boys LOVED the dig pit! And, they had some fun checking out the dinosaur robotics too! Clearly, we had a fabulous time! After the dinosaurs, we explored the rest of the center for quite sometime. The boys’ other favorites were the forces of nature section, some fun physics activities, and Legos! Would your family enjoy a trip to see the Giant Mysterious Dinosaurs? If so, plan a trip soon as the exhibit will only be here until until January 21, 2013! How about a FREE trip?!…WIN IT!
