I can’t believe we’re less than a week away from Thanksgiving! That means Christmas is right around the corner and it’s time to be thinking about ordering your holiday cards (if you haven’t already). If you’ve been a reader for a while, then you know that I love Shutterfly and have used them for many of our cards & photo gift needs!
What’s your holiday card style? Thus far, the pictures on our cards have always been rather “Christmasy”. Here are a few favorites from years past:

I’m still not sure what we’ll do this year. We do have plans for a little family photoshoot on December 1st. And, Shutterfly has a great new Family Photo Site, with lots of tips & ideas for getting your perfect card worthy shot! It’s SO hard trying to get a great shot of 3 boys ages 5 & under, and even harder when we’re in the photo too. So, I’ll take all the help I can get. We’ll see what happens! But, it’s cutting it kinda close. If nothing else, I did just get some GREAT photos of the boys on our recent trip back to Nebraska. So, maybe we’ll have to go with a more fallish look to our holiday cards this year! 😉 No matter what though, there are a lot of great designs to choose from at Shutterfly!

How would you like some money to Shutterfly for your holiday cards?….WIN IT!!

  1. I don’t usually send holiday cards, but if I could get some cute ones from Shutterfly without spending a lot of money… then I definitely will this year!

  2. I am going to order the Shutterfly card It’s Snowing Happiness. I’m just need to take family photos. We mail out 125 cards.

  3. I always end up sending my cards out at the last minute because I can’t ever decide which photo and card to use….too many choices! 🙂

  4. I always take the kids to park to get their pictures for cards. I make a photo calendar with Shutterfly every year!

  5. Omg. I’m still working on my plans… trying to figure out how to self portrait my little family… or just a pic of my little man for everyone! This may help me to decide!! 🙂

  6. You might gasp when I say this, but we have never done holiday card! EEK! I have wanted to do them since our kids were born (5 and 3 now…) but time always seems to get away from me. Plus, there are NEVER picture of me! LOL! Am I a bad mom?

  7. I bought the Zazzle groupon but had such a hard time with the site and am not sure I like how it came out. We will see. Next time will use a better more reputable site for my cards even if it costs a little more! Thanks! Ann

  8. I will be in your neck of the woods for the holidays, so we’ll have to plan a playdate and/or maybe a HS reunion w/ kids playdate with a couple friends!

  9. We plan just having a simple family photo taken sometime soon for our holiday cards. Not sure if there will be any theme or not, but hopefully cute will ultimately be the theme 🙂

  10. We attempted to get some photos of our three little girls this past week. They were adorable in matching outfits by Tea Collection…BUT getting a 6-year-old, 3-year-old, and 7-month-old to all look at the camera at the same time is not an easy task! 😉

Fortunately, we did come away with a few keepers and I hope to order photo cards soon.

    1. Our boys are almost the exact same ages as your girls. I TOTALLY know. I tried to get group photos of them last weekend. Super hard! 🙂

  11. I usually can’t get all my boys in the same state at the same time but this year we had a graduation and I have the perfect picture for Christmas cards!

  12. Umm, I need to make holiday card plans. I usually take a picture of the kids so I’m hoping they are presentable on Thanksgiving so I can get a good one 🙂

  13. I actually plan on sending cards this year. We haven’t done that before, and I figure at 27 years old its probably time. 🙂

  14. We had our first family of 3 Christmas pictures taken a few weeks ago! I was hoping to send Christmas cards out very similar to these! This would be the perfect opportunity!

  15. My plan is to try and take a nice photo of my family. My reality will be a lot of “creative” faces from my five year old, and the back of my toddler’s head as he runs out of frame. 🙂

  16. I took my kids to an old church in downtown King George. It’s red brick with white paint that has weathered off. It is so charming and I’m so pleased with how the photos turned out!

    1. Hahaha…I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who is super late with that sometimes! 🙂 Good luck getting them out earlier this year!

  17. I love sending out cards. I feel like snail mail is coming close to an end. I love getting the mail this time of year just for the cards I get in the mail. So I have ordered some cards already but I send to over 40 families’s so I do need more.

  18. Cards are printed – via shutterfly – and they are just waiting to be sent out!

  19. This is the first year I will be sending picture holiday cards. This would be a great help. Either way this blog is awesome for ideas. Thank you

  20. We use pictures of our family taken throughout the year for our Christmas card. It shows people a little snippet of our life and I don’t have to worry about taking the “perfect” Christmas family photo!

  21. We are heading to Asheville soon and I’m hoping to snap a nice picture of us at the Biltmore Estates! Then I’ll quickly upload it onto Shutterfly and order my cards!!!
