Getting Ready for Halloween #KmartHalloween

So, after the week full of Hal­loween posts last week, it prob­a­bly comes as no sur­prise that we are in full Hal­loween dec­o­rat­ing & prep mode here at the Mom Endeav­ors’ house! Last year was the first year I had dec­o­rated for Hal­loween since hav­ing kids and it was so much fun. We got a few new dec­o­ra­tions last year from Kmart, which has such a sur­pris­ingly great Hal­loween sec­tion. So, since there’s a store right near our house, we went shop­ping & snagged just a few more things for this year. The boys have such fun look­ing at every­thing. They’re a bit unsure of a few of the more scary stuff, but over­all they think it’s pretty fun! I tend to stick to the more spooky crea­ture type stuff (bats, spi­ders, etc.). And, I found some great new stuff to add to our col­lec­tion! Here’s a peek at our pur­chases: I love the creepy black crow and the skull! They should fit in nicely with the rest of our decor. Now, I just need to fin­ish get­ting every­thing setup! I’d bet­ter hurry since it’s now already the sec­ond week of Octo­ber. Eek!
Of course, the other big part of get­ting ready for Hal­loween revolves around cos­tumes. Kmart also a fun online appli­ca­tion this year that can help you fig­ure out & visu­al­ize what kind of cos­tume every­one wants to do! The boys had a lot of fun look­ing at the Kmart Kreator and all the var­i­ous cos­tume theme ideas. There are many to choose like Super­hero, Princess, Fairy, Pirate, Witch, Vam­pire, Zom­bie, TV/Movie Char­ac­ter, Video Game Char­ac­ter, Scary, Ani­mals, Food & Bev­er­age, and more! It prob­a­bly comes as no sur­prise that the boys were drawn to some of the TV/Movie Char­ac­ters and Super­hero char­ac­ters. Here were their favorites:  Notice the Cap­tain Amer­ica shield on Darth Vader?! Lol! Big Brother thought it was hilar­i­ous to acces­sorize some of the char­ac­ters with addi­tional items! You can select var­i­ous wigs, weapons, and other acces­sories to help plan the per­fect cos­tume. There were lots of great ideas, but ulti­mately, this year Star Wars gets the win. So, stay tuned for lots of fam­ily cos­tume details!
