eBay Thanks You Campaign

I’ve been a mem­ber of eBay over 8 years! The only rea­son I know this for sure is because eBay sent me a lit­tle “thank you” anniver­sary email!

I signed up while we were wed­ding plan­ning. One of my first pur­chases was a whole bunch of red & white silk flower petals to line the aisle with and use on the tables.

My most mem­o­rable pur­chase was tick­ets to a Nebraska game in 2005! I remem­ber this SO vividly because it was the first time I had tried to get any­thing like that from eBay. I was so ner­vous about get­ting the tick­ets. Would it work? Would we get the tick­ets in time? Was the seller trust­wor­thy? But, it all worked out great! We got great seats to a nail-biter of a game at a good price! Over the past 8+ years, eBay has def­i­nitely been a go-to place for me to find unique items or items that I’d like to try to score at a great price! And, in the past year in my posi­tion on the eBay Par­ent Panel, I’ve come to learn lots about eBay– both from a sell­ing per­spec­tive and just about the com­pany in general.

And,  eBay recently launched the Thanks You cam­paign! eBay rec­og­nizes that none of what they do would be pos­si­ble with­out eBay users!

And of course, none of this excite­ment would be pos­si­ble with­out all of you, our val­ued eBay community—your lives and fam­i­lies, your sto­ries and involve­ment, your buy­ing and sell­ing, your great hearts and generosity.

That’s just one of series of videos detail­ing the good that has come from buy­ing and sell­ing through eBay Giv­ing Works. In 2011, the eBay com­mu­nity raised $63 mil­lion to help sup­port non-profits! Amaz­ing, right?
