Happy college football gameday!! We’re looking forward to another day of cheering on our Huskers and planning on some “homegating” with friends. But, no matter where you’re watching the games today or who your favorite team is, I have a SUPER easy & cute sweet treat for you…

Football Oreo Pops!

I’ve seen some various football party posts out there with these fabulous football-shaped Oreo cookies. So, for the past few weeks, I’ve checked the Oreo section at every store I’ve been to, with NO luck! Then, finally, I was out yesterday & found the only package on the shelves! 🙂 Woot! Since I’ve made football cake pops and football oreo truffle pops (and since the Halloween oreo pops were such a big hit last year), I knew I wanted to try some football Oreo pops with them! I think they turned out great and they are seriously SO easy!

Here is what you’ll need to make them:

Football Oreos

Candy Melts or Bark Coating (dark chocolate and white)

Popsicle or lollipop sticks

*note: when using non-double stuff oreos, I find that the popsicle stick hold up better in the oreos than the round lollipop sticks

To make:

Start by placing the sticks into the cream layer of the oreos. It can help everything stick better if you dip the end of the stick in the chocolate first. Then, as it hardens, it helps hold the stick in place. Then, melt your chocolate according to package directions. I always just put the candy in a bowl & use the microwave–way easier that way! Coat each “oreo on a stick” with chocolate. Let harden (I usually stick them into a styrofoam block to hold them as they harden). Once the chocolate coating is hard, put some melted white candy coating in a baggie with the tip cut off (or a piping bag) and pipe on the football laces. That’s it! Super easy! Then (once the laces harden), all that’s left is to decide on how you’d like to display them. Individually wrap them in cellophane with cute football ribbon or put together a little team display! I’m sure you wouldn’t be shocked to find out that I did a little Huskers display! 🙂 Now it’s YOUR turn. I can’t wait to see your football-related fun & creativity!
