Getting Patriotic with Americana Decor!

Hope you had a great Memo­r­ial Week­end! Between Memo­r­ial Day, 4th of July right around the cor­ner, plus the Sum­mer Games after that, some patri­otic Amer­i­cana decor seems rather appro­pri­ate to have out! Mr. Mom Endeav­ors’ par­ents were in-town for Memo­r­ial week­end and the weather was GORGEOUS here–especially so for Phoenix in the sum­mer! So, we decided we’d be doing lots of grilling and out­door din­ners. To add to our patri­otic feel, I headed to Cost Plus World Mar­ket to browse their Amer­i­cana sec­tion! Not sur­pris­ingly, there was some awe­some stuff!

SO many great items and that was just what I found at the front of the store! There was also great vin­tage Amer­i­cana stuff–like snack hold­ers, paper trays, and fast-food style serv­ing bas­kets. Here’s what we ended up with:

The boys were all ready to enjoy our out­door grilling fun, espe­cially with their new patri­otic pin­wheels! The kids loved these, but they’d also be adorable as decor!

While the guys grilled, I got every­thing else set up out­side. The large red, metal tray was great for hold­ing all of the condi­ments, sil­ver­ware, and nap­kins! And, I love how cute the flag bunting looks all hung up. Our lit­tle red & blue Amer­i­cana food bas­kets were per­fect for chips this time. But, next time we do grilled hot dogs or brats, I’m all about serv­ing every­thing up in them! Super cute!

Din­ner was del­ish and it was great to not only enjoy every­thing out­side, but with some fes­tive patri­otic decor as well! It will be per­fect for our events as the sum­mer goes on! What events are YOU look­ing for­ward to this summer?
