So, remember how our bathroom was in desperate need of a makeover? If not, here’s a reminder…
See, bad, right?! SUPER boring! Well, not anymore!! 🙂 We tried out four colors using Glidden Testers and for those that voted (thanks again), we ended up with #08–“Tropical Lagoon”. So without further ado, welcome to our tropical lagoon!
What do you think?! So much better, right?! We Looooove it! No more white box!!! Using the Glidden paint, we only needed to do one coat and were able to crank out the paint job (well, all but touch-ups) during just one naptime! Quick and easy! And, I don’t know if it’s just because I was pregnant (cue super-sonic smeller) the last time we painted or what, but this Glidden paint didn’t seem to smell at all. I loved it! I hate paint/chemically fumes and I barely even noticed it! Awesome!
Then, we managed to finish up most of the details during naptime on a different day and Big Brother was SO excited when he saw it. After exclaiming, “WHAT?!”, there was lots of “oooohing” and “ahhhing” at all the shells!
Here’s some better close ups of some of the details! I did some crafty DIY projects (posts coming soon) with the Glidden testers, leftover paint, and our shells. The coral, shells in the frames (except for the sand dollars), and the small framed pictures are all from our trip to Australia! So fun to now have a nice way to display it all!
Thanks to all of you that gave input before about what color to choose! And, would love your input/thoughts now about the new look!! If nothing else, Big Brother gives it an enthusiastic “thumbs up”! 🙂
What do YOU think?

Love the bathroom and the new website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love your beach-themed make over. We have just finished re-doing our ensuite, and I need to add a few more finishing touches but you can see it on my blog last month.
It is a great feeling seeing it all work out how you imagined, isn’t it!
congrats on your tcb feature! Your blog is adorable!
Great job! It looks fantastic. I’m amazed that you got all that done during nap time. I don’t think that would never happen in my house.
Love the blue and the beach look!
It turned out fabulous and makes your bathroom so warm and inviting!
LOVE IT! What a beautiful color. I did a blue room, too. I noticed the smell– or, LACK OF a smell– as well. It wasn’t until I was almost done with the second coat when I realized there was very little odor. Great job, very soothing room!
That is a gorgeous color! Very spa like and calming 🙂 Love all the sea shells. My color challenge involved my kitchen and I also noticed there was very little smell and that didn’t seem to stick around for long. Who would want paint fumes in kitchen…yuck!
This looks so great! Your white box challenge is a huge success!!
I love love love love love it!! It turned out so beautiful. If my bathroom looked that amazing I would take a bath everyday. Beautiful, great job!
