Medela Pump in Style Review & GIVEAWAY!

After try­ing to breast­feed two lit­tle guys, Medela is a brand that I’ve become very famil­iar with (more so than I ever planned on)! And, I can gen­uinely say that I not only LOVE their prod­ucts, but would not have been able to give much breast­milk to my chil­dren with­out them. Because of my breast­feed­ing strug­gles, I’ve pur­chased pur­chased Medela’s Sup­ple­men­tal Nurs­ing Sys­tem, bot­tles, creams, clean­ing wipes, more Quick Clean MicroSteam Bags than I could pos­si­bly count (they are one of my “must-have” baby prod­ucts) and used my Medela Pump In Style breast­pump round the clock for months! With Lit­tle Brother, I even rented Medela’s Sym­phony Hospital-Grade Pump.
Thanks to Medela, I recently got to check out the new Pump in Style Advanced!

My thoughts:
I love the smaller, more sleek look to the bag than the pre­vi­ous model I had! Yet, it has WAY more stor­age space inside! The lighter color inside also makes it eas­ier to see inside than the old all-black version.
I also love the fea­ture of hav­ing a remov­able cooler pack! It fits into the tote per­fectly with quite a bit of extra room on top!
So, it’s not only the per­fect size, but MUCH more con­ve­nient than try­ing to put together & bring along a sep­a­rate cooler bag! The new bot­tles are great also! Much nicer look­ing than what I had (new bot­tles on the left, my old bot­tle on the right).
The only thing it doesn’t come with that I think would be a nice addi­tion is a bot­tle stand. While the new bot­tles do seem less tipsy than the old vari­eties, I wouldn’t want to take the risk. Who­ever coined the phrase, “Don’t cry over spilled milk”, never spilled a bot­tle of breast­milk that they had worked so hard to pump (ask me how I know…).  The new bot­tles do fit the old con­tain­ers though, which is great!

Over­all, this new pump is out­stand­ing! As a mom with extra­or­di­nary dif­fi­cul­ties breast­feed­ing, I know all to well the value of a high-quality pump! If you are expect­ing a new lit­tle one (or are already a nurs­ing mama), I whole­heart­edly rec­om­mend Medela’s pumps (and their other prod­ucts in gen­eral)! I’ve had great expe­ri­ences with their cus­tomer ser­vice too!

    I am expect­ing my sec­ond lit­tle one! I would love to upgrade the pump that I have. I bought one that was on clear­ance at Tar­get for $16 (reg. $45). It worked well enough since I didn’t have the money to buy any­thing too fancy. I had also been wor­ried that I wouldn’t end up breast­feed­ing long enough to make a big pur­chase worthwhile.…Let me just say…two and half years later.…my son won’t give it up! Thank got that my being preg­nant seems to have shut down the utters, because I think that’s help­ing him to wean. He still won’t drink reg­u­lar cow’s milk.…..and I’ve tried skim, 2%, 1%, whole, Soy, straw­berry, choco­late, organic.….didn’t try almond.…but you get the idea!

    Any­way, the point of all of that is that I know I can use the pump and make it worth it’s value.

    I’d loved to win this pump! Right now I’m exclu­sively pump­ing for my 6 week old baby girl, I couldn’t get her to latch prop­erly and resorted to pump­ing for her. The pump handed down to me isn’t the great­est, but unfor­tu­nately get­ting a new pump isn’t in our fam­ily bud­get. Win­ning this Medela pump would make pump­ing so much eas­ier for me! I love that the bat­tery pack allows you to pump any­where and I could really use that con­ve­nience! =)

    I am hav­ing a baby boy due August 23…my son is 9 and I just donated my pump last sum­mer (I had one sim­i­lar to this) to raise money for his sum­mer camp…go fig­ure! So I have no pump:) And no job…lol..this would really help:)

    I’m a new mom of twins and could really use this pump! My twins were in the NICU and bot­tlefed to mon­i­tor their milk intake. I lived in the hos­pi­tal pump room to make sure they only got breast­milk from the begin­ning. Once home, a friend was gen­er­ous enough to let me bor­row her pump, but now it’s break­ing. With twins our bud­get is so tight. Since they never learned to latch on pump­ing is absolutely nec­es­sary. They’ve been on 100% breas­milk for over 3 months and I’m hop­ing to have the resources to continue.

    I would love to win this for my wife. She tried very hard to breast­feed our son but he never would latch on prop­erly. Instead of giv­ing up she decided to pump so he would still get breast milk. She is using a sin­gle pump that takes … I would love to sur­prise her with this pump!
