If you’re anything like my husband and I, then perhaps your fancy “i” device (an ipod touch in our case) seems to be loaded with more apps for the kids than for the adults. Ever since getting ours this past summer, I have been shocked at how well our preschooler (3.5 years) can navigate the “itouch” all by himself! Consequently, I’ve been on the look-out for great educational apps that we can use with him and Punflay’s apps certainly meet my qualifications! They have a whole division geared specifically to kids!
Punflay provided me with two apps to review: “Who Will Rule” and “Measurement”.
The really great thing about the measurement app is that it is actually like 5 apps in one! Talk about a great value! Addressing important concepts like time, amounts, and size, I think this is a great app for young learners. Although it is actually marketed for kindergarteners, Big Brother can still follow most of the activities. So, I definitely think that this could still be worthwhile for your older preschooler. The “Crazy Clock” is a great way to reinforce his number learning and introduce him to telling time. As a mom who likes introducing Big Brother to helping in the kitchen, I really like that “Fill Me Up” is all related to amounts of food. And, he thinks the monster in “Scale Tale” is great–he gets so excited when he gets the weight correct and the monster eats the food!
So, if you’re looking for some good kid-friendly apps, you should definitely check out Punflay! Quite a few options to choose from with an affordable price tag! And speaking of affordable, how about a free download?!
Two lucky Mom Endeavors readers will each win a code to download the “Who Will Rule” ibook app! (If aren’t yet an official follower-would love for you to become one! Just click on that Google Friend Connect FOLLOW button on the left sidebar! Thank you!)

Hi Sara – Just popping over from Amanda's blog to say HELLLLO. I too, have more kid apps on my I phone and my I pad than apps I use. We are a houseful of Mac junkies and the kids are better at navigating the devices than I am, which in turn, makes me feel really old and not "with it"! hahaha
Well, this just made me want an iPhone even more!! 😉 I have the world's oldest cell phone and it doesn't do anything cool except let me take and send calls. 😉 Great review! Thanks so much for joining my "Bliss-at-Home" project. 🙂 Hope you'll stop by Serenity Now again soon!
This app looks so cool! I love the educational apps for kids. Kinley is two and a half and she already knows how to unlock my itouch and find her favorite games (I say this with dubious pride 🙂 The app "Toddler Teasers Shapes" has helped her master her basic shapes. So fun!
Following from the blog hop. Hope you can follow back.
God Bless,
Shelley

Thanks for sharing with us this cool app! My family's also a fan of good iBooks and we download almost everything good. By the way, if it's alright, I'd like to recommend one of my current favorite apps, Intuition. Tagged as mom's personal assistant, it's a task management app that has many features designed to help us moms. It's really easy to use and it looks cute, too. Plus, it's free! You can check it out on http://www.iconapps.com/product.htm
I thought this app looked neat for the kids…
